Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

John Maclaine's grandson Jack was born Thursday morning and has been in ICU since that evening. He's been diagnosed with Laryngomalacia (soft larynx), not life threatening but his parents, Mark and Merissa, as well as little Jack, need our prayers.

I am praying that God's people will see Him "high and lifted up" during this time of uncertainty.  Though we don't know what is going on in the world today or who is in charge, we do know that God is still on his throne.  There is no reason for Christians to Fear.  God does not treat the wicked and godly alike.  However, we must respond to his holiness by doing what is required of us... Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly!  Pray that we get back to the basics of our faith.

Please pray for my family we are going through a very stressful time.  The custody case we are going through has everyone stressed, irritable and snapping at each other often.  My mother and I pray constantly and draw strength from God, but others in my family have not been turning to God for help and they are having a hard time keeping a positive attitude.  My daughter is very depressed but has started attending church again, I pray she will draw close to the lord and he will give her comfort.

Please continue to pray for my mom.  She is still in ICU.  She is stable and seems to be making some small steps forward.  She seems so little in that bed.  She seems so helpless.  Pray that God comforts her and surrounds her with his presence.

I am asking for healing on my hands.  After several months I know I need the prayers of many.  Also for my oldest son, he needs to find peace in his heart and be lead to God.  My mother is doing some better, thank you.

My prayer for 2009 is that the Bride of Christ would prepare for the upcoming event.  I wonder if the "Bride" or church is acting like it will never really come.  We are in danger of being really embarrassed if Jesus returns and we are mired in the world. My prayer is that everyone in our sunday school class will do two things in preparation of this future event: 1. Bridal Clothing, the Dress is the most important thing:  Clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...and the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Colossians 3:12-152.  Prepare for the event:  Be a faithful servant, to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his household and feeding his family until he returns.  Look forward to his return. Matthew 24:45-50
